Our tour starts from the Old Town of Rhodes.The old town is the city built by the Knights of St. John and the Knights of Malta.It is one of the best preserved medieval cities that you can see currently on an european tour.You can see the tour timeline step by step following:


1). Our tour is a walk back in time,where we will cross the paths of Knights and we will see the Palace of the Grand magician the ruins of the church of St. John, the clock tower and other monuments ideal for photgraphing the memories of your visit.

IMPORTANT NOTICE  This part of the tour must start before 9 a.m. , after this time, vehicles are forbidden to enter the old city by the local authorities.


2).We will continue in one of the three ports of Rhodes Mandraki where right after the entrance to the port is located the statue of the famed Sun god “Colossus”. This was one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world.Ideal place for taking photos where once stood one of the higheststatues of antiquity , 30 meters (107 ft) tall , standing on 2 bases up to 15 meters high.Colossus stood upright for 66 years before being destroyed by a deadly earthquake in year 226 b.c.

Above the hillside overlooking Rhodes town (Monte Smith) is situated the ancient Acropolis of Rhodes.  The site is dominated by remains of the 1st century B.C. Temple of Apollo Pythios.

3).Our next stop is the ancient Acropolis of Rhodes located at the highest northern point of the island.Here is the temple of god Apollo Pythaos .In the green park you can see the ancient stadium (3 century b.c.) where the biggest celebration in Rhodes was taking place, the celebration of Saints, dedicated to God Ilios (SUN).You can also see the restored ancient marble theater where you can take pictures at the most beautiful panoramic point in Rhodes .This is a breathtaking experience.Then we will follow the eastern main road of the island, where we will drive crossing many beautiful coastal villages as Kallithea and Ladikon beach (or Antony MC Queen Beach) where you will be able to take some photos and we will arrive to Lindos village.


4).Lindos is a beautiful village on the seaside where you can have a nice walk in the beautiful traditional and pittoresque cobbled streets (where white and blue color is the dominating color) filled with small souvenir shops.There we can have a stop if you wish to eat or to drink something before continue our tour.In the same village (Lindos) you can see the ancient akropolis of Lindos. If you wish to avoid walking up the stairs to the Acropolis of Lindos you can use the traditional “LINDIAN TAXI ” which actually is the traditional donkeys.

The ancient Lindos was founded by the 50 daughters of King Danaos of Argos, Danaides and dedicated to goddess Athina.This was a place of worship to goddess Athena and simultaneously a safe shelter in periods of crisis for the local residents.From the top you can take beautiful pictures.


5).After Lindos and passing by incredibly beautiful beaches and picturesque villages we reach the southernmost point of Rhodes called Prasonissi (95 km from Rhodes city). , where we will meet a strange creation of nature .This is a piece of land that is an island in the winter and during summertime is a peninsula. This happens because a narrow strip of sand is connected with mainland but during winter it is covered by seawaves.
It is a meeting point for worldwide wind surfers, because it is an ideal spot for windsurfing.This is a Beautiful sandy beach with small fish restaurants for lunch or coffee drinks in the seaside cafes. A majestic unique part of Rhodes that will surely be unforgettable.Leaving Prassonisi we will follow the western road for our return.

6).Our next stop will be in Monolithos with its famous medieval castle.The medieval castle of Monolithos situated 73 km south from the town of Rhodes is an Old Byzantine castle that was renovated by Grand Master.D ‘Ompyson (1476-1503 ) as evidenced by the coat of arms which is located in the gateway.The purpose of the castle was the supervision and protection of South Rhodes from pirates. Here was the shelter of local residents during raids from foreigners.

This Is one of the four powerful castles of Rhodes because of its location not never fell too .Beautifull and maintained externally but internally damaged.


7).After Monolithos castle we will pass by the picturesque village “Sianna” which is situated at the foot of the mountain Attaviros. This village is full of beautiful taverns with fantastic views. Here you can find to buy pure honey, local wine and the traditional drink suma, which are produced by the local villagers.You can also enjoy a nice local meal in a traditional taverna in the village. After Sianna we will continue towards our next stop of the tour the castle “Kastellos” or Castle of Kritinia.

8).The kastello castle was built in 1472 by GIORGIO ORSINI to protect the local residents from the raids of Othomans and pirates.It was used as dockyard & mariniera and was an important castle of Rhodes.Here are the coats of arms Grand Masters who ruled the island As the D Aboise (in years 1503 -1512), Coretta (years 1513-1521) and the most famous Grand Master D OBISON (years 1476-1503) .

After Kastello we will visit the archaeological site of “Kamiros”The archaeological site of Ancient Kamiros 32 km southwest from Rhodes Town.

9).Kamiros (together with Lindos and Ialysos) was one of the important cities of Rhodes.This city was a great commercial point and it was sustained due to its agricultural production.In opposite with the other cities, Kamiros was not protected and was built in between two hills overlooking the sea.In the archaeological area you can see the ruins of the ancient market,the temple of Athena andvarious public buildings and the famous baths as well.


10).The ride will finish back to your base (boat or your hotel) or if You want just in front of the entrance of the old town so you can further continue Your walk.


The duration of this tour is approximately 8  hours (1 hour lunch time included).If you have more disposal time you may add in our excursion +1 hour to have lunch in a traditional “taverna”restaurant or +1 hour for swimming in one of the amazing beaches of our island.
